Keith A. Jernigan joined the Atlanta office of the firm in 2007. He is a partner practicing in the areas of commercial real estate development, corporate law and commercial lending. He represents developers and equity investors and lending institutions in the acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing and development of both residential and commercial real estate developments. Keith also represents financial institutions in the closing of various commercial loans secured by both real estate and other secured assets.
Keith assists his clients with the formation of various business entities, the negotiation of joint venture partnerships and operating agreements, all aspects of real estate due diligence and the closing of acquisitions, dispositions, and loans. Keith also counsels his residential developer clients with compliance with the Federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act and prepares the declarations, articles and bylaws required to form and operate homeowner and condominium associations.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Keith earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 1994. He earned his Juris Doctor (JD) degree, cum laude, in 1999 from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Georgia Law Review. Prior to attending law school, he served as a loan and marketing officer with Wachovia Bank. Keith is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
Keith is an active member of Peachtree United Methodist Church and serves on the Camp High Harbor Advisory Board for the Metro Atlanta YMCA.
