Janelle’s practice involves the representation of medical providers in the defense of medical malpractice claims along with regulation and compliance of health care providers with state and federal law. A native of Jackson, MS with a strong Barbadian heritage, Janelle graduated from Tougaloo College with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2008. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Master of Public Health in 2012. Thereafter, she obtained her Juris Doctor (JD) degree and Certificate in Health Law from the Georgia State University College of Law. As a student at the Georgia State University College of Law, Janelle was a member of the Moot Court Board, and was nationally recognized as a member of the 2nd place National Health Law Moot Court Competition in 2013. Additionally, she spent two years with the Health Law Partnership as an advocate for children, working primarily in securing Social Security Income benefits for those previously denied. Janelle is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, American Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, and remains active with the Health Law Partnership.
