Eric Collins

Eric Collins is a Partner of the firm practicing primarily in the area of litigation with a focus on insurance defense, insurance coverage, employment law, workers’ compensation, landlord rights, and defense of fair housing complaints. A native of Fayetteville, West Virginia, Eric received his Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Accounting, with a minor in Political Science, from Concord University, Athens, West Virginia, and his J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law, Morgantown, WV.

Eric is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and the State Bar of Georgia, and he is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of West Virginia, the Middle District of Georgia, and the Southern District of Georgia as well as the U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, and the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior to joining Coleman Talley, he was a partner in Pullin, Fowler, and Flanagan, PLLC, which is a statewide insurance defense and employment law firm in West Virginia. During his time with Pullin, Fowler, and Flanagan, he was lead defense trial counsel in multiple cases filed against local governmental entities throughout West Virginia, all of which resulted in favorable jury verdicts.

Eric has also successfully served as lead defense trial counsel in commercial litigation, tort, and workers compensation cases throughout Federal and State Courts in Georgia.

Eric has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern Baptist Convention Annuity Board (now Guide Stone), Dallas, Texas and as general counsel for Northgate Baptist Church, Beckley West Virginia, and Southern Baptist Fellowship Church, Summersville, West Virginia. He formerly served as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law, and Criminal Justice at Glenville State College, Summersville, West Virginia. He frequently serves as a speaker for continuing education seminars for property managers and workers compensation professionals.
