Coleman Talley LLP Partner Russ Henry attended the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing 2022 Fall Retreat. Russ had the opportunity to share industry insight with long-time developer clients Jerry Braden, who also serves on the Chattooga County GICH Committee, Mitchell Davenport with Clément & Company and Joe Collums from Paladin/ Georgia Communities, Inc. During the event, our client, the City of Adel was recognized by Larry Hanson, Georgia Municipal Association Executive Director, and Jermaine Durham, GICH Director, as a graduate of the GICH Program.
The Georgia Initiative for Community Housing supports Georgia communities by offering a three-year program of collaboration and technical assistance related to housing and community development. The objective of the Initiative is to help communities create and launch a locally-based plan to meet their housing needs.
Author Jane Jacobs once said, “Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody.” this still rings true, and we appreciate the work GICH is doing in Georgia’s communities.
