Emily Macheski-Preston is a member of Coleman Talley LLP’s litigation group and specializes in local government law, zoning, and affordable housing property management. Emily has represented local governments, developers, and property managers across the State of Georgia. Emily graduated cum laude from Oglethorpe University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory. Prior to attending law school, Emily worked at the Georgia Capital for the Governor’s Internship. She graduated cum laude from Mercer University in 2010 with her Juris Doctor degree and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2010. In 2010, Emily was awarded the Ruth T. West Award for Advocacy and Leadership by Mercer University and in 2012 was named the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional of the Year. Emily is a graduate of the 2013 Class of Leadership Lowndes, the 2016 Class of Georgia Forward’s Young Gamechangers, and the 2017 Class of the State Bar of Georgia’s Leadership Academy. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Local Government Division, the Women’s Affordable Housing Network, and Oglethorpe University’s Stormy Petrel Bar Association.

Mary Margaret Williams is a member of Coleman Talley LLP’s transactional group and focuses her practice in the areas of affordable housing, commercial real estate, and commercial transactions. A native of Valdosta, Georgia, Mary Margaret graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 2005. She graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2010 and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2010. Prior to her employment with the firm, Mary Margaret worked for a well-known investment banking firm where she served as a financial analyst for tax-exempt bond financed housing transactions. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Real Property Law Section, the Women’s Affordable Housing Network, the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Valdosta Chapter, and the American Bar Association’s Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law.
