The Gardens of the World Ball is a black tie affair where state leaders and Botanical Garden of Georgia enthusiasts gather in support of the garden.   The event is meant to celebrate nature and raise money to continue the garden’s mission of preserving nature and helping others enjoy and learn about plants.   The monies raised at this year’s 32nd annual event, will be added to a fund that will be used to build a $5 million children’s garden at the preserve.  It is estimated that construction will begin on the children’s garden in 2017.  Attendees enjoyed a unique dining experience in the conservatory which provides a view of hundreds of tropical and semi-tropical plants, garden pathways, waterfalls and pools.  Attending from Coleman Talley were Tom and Merry Jo Kurrie, Justin and Julie Scott, Keith and Julia Jernigan, Russ and Anne Henry, and Noel and Lisa Wannamaker.  Coleman Talley was honored for its continued support of the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, at the foundation’s Patron Party held on May 6th.
