Immersive Summer Experience Begins for Law Students at Coleman Talley
Welcoming the 2024 Summer Associate Class
Coleman Talley LLP welcomes 2024 summer associates! Over the next few months, these talented law students will be immersed in valuable real-world experience and comprehensive training under the guidance of our partner and associate mentors. In addition to substantive legal work, our summer associates will be able to join us for engaging firm events, including our annual summer soirée, and the CT Low Country boil. We welcome Lucy Heady, Tyler Kelly, Caroline Dodson, Harrison T. Otto, Bradley Thomas, Joshua Gessner, Raleigh Rollins, and Jackson Henry.
An Immersive Summer Experience
Our Summer Associate Program offers an immersive blend of practical experience and comprehensive exposure to our firm’s practice areas. Following an in-depth orientation, associates dive headfirst into active work projects akin to those handled by our first-year associates. This hands-on approach allows them to engage with our practitioners closely. Students get to participate in M&A deals, commercial transactions, litigation, court appearances, depositions, and substantive research and writing assignments.
Throughout the summer, our associates attend internal meetings and weekly lunch and learn’s, providing invaluable opportunities to familiarize themselves with our attorneys, clients, and the diverse range of matters encompassing each practice group. Additionally, interactive training sessions led by Coleman Talley lawyers and external professionals equip our summer associates with vital skills in legal writing, leveraging firm resources, and maximizing support services.
Moreover, our “learning by doing” philosophy underpins all training experiences. Thus empowering these bright law students to develop, refine, and build confidence in their legal acumen. We are committed to fostering an enriching summer that positions our talented associates for sustained success in the legal profession.
