Partner Tom Kurrie presented at the eighth annual Gathering of Eagles business symposium on February 20th. For eight years, Wiregrass Technical College has provided this annual event for local business leaders to gather; to network and learn, both with other local leaders and with guest speakers. Attendance is capped at 200 guests, creating a smaller, more engaging atmosphere. Proceeds raised from the event are used to help students, offering scholarships and providing funds for program equipment.
Other guest speakers included PBS correspondent and author Bill Boggs; Belle Wheelan, president of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges; Valdosta Mayor, John Gayle; the owner of Steeda Autosports, Dario Orlando; and Dr. Tina Anderson, the president of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. Coleman Talley partner Tom Kurrie presented in the afternoon session where he provided valuable insight into his personal business experiences, ending his presentation with an outline of the essentials of a successful business. Tom’s presentation also included a brief video which highlighted milestones of the firm since its establishment by B. Lamar Tillman in 1937.
